Saturday, June 3
Instructor: Clarissa Elpedes
In this class you will learn how to create a beautiful junk journal by reusing vintage book covers.
You will be taught a simple pamphlet stitch to sew the signatures into your book covers and you will be able to keep the tools to use for future projects.
After finishing this class you will own your very own and unique junk journal that provides you with plenty of room to collect and display your ephemera, and a place to be creative if you choose to. Everybody’s journal will look different and I am very excited to guide you and teach you on your junk journal journey. (Please note that the journals shown in the photo are only examples.)
Most materials will be provided, but you can also bring your own ephemera and scrapbook papers you would like to add to your journal.
As a basic tool kit please bring: paper trimmer (if you have one), ruler, pencil, scissors, X-Acto knife, glue stick, and heat tool (hairdryer works also).
Pre-registration required one week prior to class date
Adult Class Cost:$55 (includes $20 for materials)
Basic tool kit required as stated above. Maximum of 5 students.
